Engineering Automotive Electrical 5+ years experience

Responsibilities & Duties

  • Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic faults in heavy-duty trucks
  • Install, service, and maintain wiring, lighting, and control systems
  • Use diagnostic equipment and software to detect and resolve electrical issues
  • Perform preventive maintenance and electrical inspections on heavy-duty trucks
  • Ensure all electrical work meets safety standards and manufacturer requirements
  • Prepare service reports and maintain accurate repair documentation
  • Collaborate with mechanical technicians to ensure integrated repair solutions
  • Stay updated on new technologies and best practices in auto-electrical systems
  • Complete assigned training courses

Qualifications

  • HND in Auto-Electrical/Automobile Engineering or related field
  • Strong knowledge of truck electrical systems, wiring diagrams and circuit testing
  • Proficiency with electrical diagnostic tools, scanners and equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Valid driver's license (preferably for heavy-duty vehicles)

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in diagnosing and repairing electrical systems of heavy-duty trucks
